The One That Made Her Snort-Laugh
She was halfway through the stack and already feeling battered, but the next one broke her completely. It was just a drawing of a giant coffee cup with legs and her curly hair on top of the lid.
Underneath, in shaky block letters, it said: “MRS. COFFEE.” The student who drew it, a quiet girl named Lily, shrugged. “You always have the cup in your hand. I think it’s part of your body now.” Mrs. Higgins let out an undignified snort that turned into a full blown cackle. She couldn’t deny it. The child had captured her essence perfectly. She was, indeed, Mrs. Coffee.
