It wasn’t just her face that was under attack; her fashion choices were also being mercilessly critiqued by eight-year-olds. Several drawings focused entirely on her outfit.
One student drew her wearing a dress covered in what looked like pepperoni pizza. “That’s the flower pattern on your dress,” the student insisted. Another drew her shoes, which were sensible flats, looking like two giant, squashed loaves of bread. The caption underneath read: “MRS. HIGGINS’ COMFY SHOES.” It was clear that her attempts at professional attire were being interpreted in very strange ways by her tiny audience.
