The Dusty Boxes
Daniel lifted one of the boxes gently. The fabric wrapping felt fragile, almost brittle with age. He could tell immediately that these items were not recent. Carrying them into better light, he felt a growing sense of responsibility. This was no longer a simple renovation surprise.
Whatever was inside had survived decades in silence. Opening them felt like stepping into someone else’s unfinished story.
